There’s more to Jarrow than meets the eye. A timber-framed mirror on the surface, what lies behind is in fact a cabinet that sits within the wall. It’s the mirror that opens the cabinet door – another unexpected feature that we love – revealing adjustable shelving and useful LED strips built into the interior.

The Materials: When it comes to painted timber, we use tulipwood, a strong and resilient hardwood. Left bare, it’s not the prettiest to look at, but it's fine, almost knot-free grain creates a smooth finish for paint, so its dull appearance is in fact a virtue.

The Finish: We take great care over our painted finishes and give every design what it needs to be robust. We vary the number of coats and use both hand-painted and spray-painted techniques depending on what that shade requires. We also use our low-sheen, water-based eggshell, which is perfectly suited to bathrooms.

What's inside?: There are three adjustable shelves in Jarrow, made from glass so they’re easy to wipe clean should a squirt of toothpaste go astray, with chamfered edges. These rest on an attractive and secure support system, and are easy to move around as and when your storage needs change.

Design Details:

As well as the bevelled mirror on the front, there’s another mirror set into the back of the cupboard and LED lights hidden around the frame that turn on when the door is open. The first mirror – the door – opens using a discreet pull handle in the bottom corner.

Fitting: This will need to be fitted by a competant Carpenter/Fitter
